Yandex.Key is an authenticator generating one-time passwords (OTP) for Yandex, Google, GitHub, Dropbox, Vk.com, and other services with two-factor authentication (2FA). To log in to Yandex, enter this one-time password instead of your regular password, and to sign in to other services, with your normal password.

Now you can create a backup file and store it wherever it's convenient — on your computer, a flash drive, or in a password manager. The file will help you restore access if you accidentally delete Yandex Key app, lose access to your phone, or want to transfer accounts between Android and iOS. But be careful don’t share it with anyone and don’t store it in the cloud without strong protection. If the file falls into the wrong hands, you could lose access to your accounts.
