Our story began in 1988 with the dream of bringing a taste of Beirut or a Shawarma Shack to the City of Richmond. It took us longer than expected, but you know what: “better late than never.” Our authentic Lebanese menu is made from imported ingredients and spices. Shawarma in Lebanon is like Gyro in Greece, or Taco in Mexico, yet it is so different AND so much better. The secret lies in the savory tender meat, rich marinade, and, last but not least, Taratour sauce. We serve an array of grills and dips, including the world famous Hummus and salads, of which Tabouli is a favored specialty. Thus, vegetarians will also find a welcoming place at Shawarma Shack.
