IMPORTANT PERMISSIONS & NOTES

To provide the highest level of security, Prey requires the following:

Device Administrator: Enables Remote Wipe and Lock features.

Accessibility Services: Required for the "Lock" feature to show an "Access Denied" screen overlay.

Background Location: Enables geotracking and geofencing even when the app is not in use.

All Files Access (Android 12+): Required for the "File Retrieval" feature.

Uninstall Protection: To prevent unauthorized removal, Prey requests permissions that require uninstallation via Settings > Apps > Prey.

Note: Power Button Lock is available only on Android 8 and lower due to OS restrictions.
