The Palliative Care Congress showcases the current status of the art and science of specialist palliative care. The programme is multi-professional, academic and practice based. It blends evidence and compassion through presentations and discussion of new research findings, approaches to patient care and common palliative care problems.

Congress features many practical workshops, updates on scientific, political and ethical issues relating to the specialty of Palliative Medicine. It aims to attract and cater for the educational needs of delegates from all the disciplines and sectors spanning palliative, supportive and end of life care, including doctors, nurses, researchers and allied health professionals from academia, primary care, secondary care and the third sector.
