Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon 2022

In honor of the Father of the Nation’s centennial birth celebration, the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon will be an extensive and significant event to mark the occasion. This event is the first of its kind in Bangladesh, as it is formally recognized by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) as an official full marathon.

Scheduled for January 10th, 2022 at 6 AM, the marathon route will cover 42.195 KM through a loop in Dhaka City. Multiple medical and hydration points will be set up along the route, as well as roaming ambulances and security detail, all to ensure runner safety.

Participants of all ability levels are encouraged to register and take part in this historic event.

This event is jointly organized by Bangladesh Army and Dhaka South City Corporation, and Assistance in Organizing by Army Sports Control Board, Sports Vision Ltd, Bangladesh Athletic Federation and Trust Innovation Ltd., in collaboration with National Implementation Committee to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and coordinated by Armed Forces Division.
