Old School RuneScape Introduces Desert Treasure II in Latest Update
2023-07-27
Experience Old School's biggest quest to date with Desert Treasure II: The Fallen Empire! Unravel secrets, defeat four new bosses, and earn exciting rewards now!
Jagex has recently revealed a new installment in a beloved storyline that was initially released in 2005. Surprisingly, after nearly twenty years, Desert Treasure II – The Fallen Empire will be unveiled today. This exciting sequel introduces four powerful bosses, fresh locations to explore, and numerous opportunities to obtain valuable rewards.
However, let's take a step back in time. As previously stated, the initial release of Desert Treasure took place in 2005 and introduced us to an enigmatic group called the Mahjarrat. Now, you have the opportunity to reconnect with these ancient beings as you navigate through four fresh locations and confront the bosses awaiting you in each area.
The reason behind wanting to open the ancient vault in these lands is purely for gaining wealth. It has been discovered that this vault contains valuable treasures, but there's a catch. Opening it could potentially have significant and permanent effects on Gielinor. However, despite the potential consequences, the temptation of obtaining incredible loot seems worth risking altering the world a bit.
As you progress, each of the four bosses you face will have unique skills and strategies in battle. This requires you to adapt your tactics accordingly if you want to defeat them successfully. However, defeating them once is not enough as there are extra benefits by replaying these battles after completing the main quest. By doing so, you can earn additional rewards like the Virtus Armour. Additionally, each boss will drop one part of a two-handed axe that consists of four pieces overall.
In this new quest, there are additional rewards that players can obtain. These include four newly introduced rings that offer significant improvements to strength, ranged abilities, magic skills, and melee combat. Alternatively, if you're not interested in jewelry items, the Ancient Sceptre might catch your attention as it becomes stronger with every boss you defeat.
