ADVANCE Risk Engine

The Advance Risk Engine is a risk calculator specifically designed for healthcare professionals’ use. It was developed based on the Results resulting from the ADVANCE trial and the ADVANCE-ON post-trial which involved participants mainly with no history of cardiovascular disease at study enrollment.

The advance risk equations are based on risk factors commonly assessed in routine clinical practice.

This Application provides the risk of developing cardiac and kidney complications associated with diabetes. The ADVANCE Risk Engine assesses the individual’s predicted risk of complications:

- At 4 years: the predicted risk of having a major cardiovascular event.

- At 5 years: the predicted risk of developing major kidney related-events in the short term or in the longer term (starting with albuminuria).

- At 10 years: the predicted risk of major vascular disease.
