■Story

The traveling troupe "Tantalus" plans to kidnap Princess Garnet of the Kingdom of Alexandria.

By coincidence, Garnet is about to leave the country herself, and as a result, Zidane, a member of the Tantalus Brigade,

ends up traveling with Garnet and her knight escort, Steiner.

The group, which also includes the young black mage Vivi and Kuina of the Ku tribe, learns the secret of their birth and the existence of crystals, the source of life, during their journey.
