About AnthroCalcFetal

Calculates measures of fetal growth using data from the WHO Fetal Growth Charts.

The AnthroCalcFetal app uses the World Health Organization (WHO) Fetal Growth Charts [Kiserud T, et al. PLoS Med 2017;14e1002220] for 14–40 weeks of gestational age.

WHO also offers an online calculator at <srhr.org/fetalgrowthcalculator/#/>.

The coefficients of the polynomials representing quantiles of the distributions of the measured fetal parameters are available at <github.com/jcarvalho45/whoFetalGrowth/>.

The estimated fetal weight (EFW) is calculated with Hadlock's third formula [Hadlock FP, et al. Am J Obstet Gynecol 1985;151(3):333–337], using the head circumference (HC), abdominal circumference (AC), and femur length (FL). The EFW can also be entered manually.

Calculations by linear interpolation of centile values using log10 scale. On the Plotter screen, the fetal measurements entered can also be plotted on the WHO Fetal Growth Charts appropriate for the gestational age; the plotter function requires an active Internet connection.
